FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Web Design Firm Touched by Oakland Art Center for the Disabled (OAKLAND, Calif., December 18, 2000) - Isys Idea Systems, Inc. is delighted to announce its heartfelt support of an essential organization -- Oakland's Creative Growth Art Center -- this holiday season. Each employee is making an individual donation to the center and the Isys partners will sweeten the pot by matching or exceeding the total donation amount. During a recent visit to the center with Creative Director Thom Smith, the Isys staff was impressed and deeply moved by the pieces on display. At the next office meeting, a unanimous decision was made to offer individual donations to the organization, in lieu of buying each other gifts, for the holidays. "We are delighted that Isys is supporting Creative Growth Art Center this holiday season," says Tom Di Maria, Executive Director for the center. "As the world's premier studio for artists with disabilities, this gift will support the 120 artists who create and exhibit their work here everyday." Isys employees will pay another visit to the art center on December 21st to personally donate the money. Di Maria has graciously agreed to allow the group a look behind the scenes, as the artists create amazing pieces to be exhibited in the gallery. Isys recently purchased several Creative Growth paintings for the office and Smith is an avid supporter of the organization. "Too often I forget that the impulse to make art is as fundamental in human nature as the need for food and shelter," says Smith. "A visit to the Creative Growth gallery is a stunning reminder of the power of that very basic impulse. This is an extraordinary place for extraordinary people who are trying -- just like all of us -- to communicate with others.
