FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Latest Website Functionality Enhances Online Nutrition Education Community (OAKLAND, Calif., October 13, 2000) - Isys Idea Systems, Inc. joins the Dairy Council of California (DCC) to announce the launch of the updated nutrition education website, www.dairycouncilofca.org. Developed by Isys, the online resource aims to help children and adults make healthful food choices. Speaking directly to educators, health professionals, and kids and families, the site makes DCC materials easily accessible to the public, utilizing the latest technology in member access and online order forms. Visitors register online for membership privileges including email updates about nutrition-related events and access to educational materials. Once a visitor orders DCC materials (free to CA residents) the database remembers pertinent information needed for future orders. The site's search engine is fully updated, placing a wealth of nutrition and health information for all age groups in immediate reach. Isys President Cathy Dew acknowledges the improvement to the website due to increased utility and content organization. "It is important to DCC as a nonprofit organization seeking to educate the public about nutrition to have an approachable website," says Dew. "Isys created a versatile tool that works for the diverse DCC audience." DCC Project Manager Maureen Bligh agrees that connecting with the organization's audience is vital.
