Founded in 1987, MyRoad.com is an all-inclusive resource for young
adults to discover their talents and interests, and explore the
multitude of options available for college and career planning.
The idea came to John Casella, founder, after spending six years
achieving the goal of becoming a CPA and realizing that he had no
interest in pursuing this career path.
Isys' objective was to integrate
information on 61 majors and 1,510 areas of study, 3,608 colleges,
and 42 careers while customizing the user experience by linking
content to each individual's personal interests and aspirations.
A color-coded tab bar makes the main sections easily accessible
while "real world" photos complement the content. The web-enabled
technology behind the QuickStart surveys, the Personality
Profiler and the My List function maximizes the advantages
of the Internet, offering risk-free exploration and a user-controlled
experience within a relational, customized web site.
