Since 1972, BART has provided the bay area community with transbay public transportation, greatly reducing traffic congestion on bay area bridges during peak commute hours. With 4,000 legacy files and numerous database applications that had accumulated gradually over the past few years, BART came to Isys in need of a website redesign. In addition to extending and expanding the information available on the site, Isys faced the challenge of bringing together an open platform and cohesive design, both technically and visually.

Teaming up with the technical staff at Seventh Generation Internet, Isys came up with a design concept based on BART graphics and representations of stations and routes. The screen framework and page layout provide easy access and section identification at all levels of navigation. In result, visitors can find the information they need quickly and easily, mirroring BART's mission to provide no-fuss, rapid transport.
